LEARNING COMMUNITY COURSE Materials and Artifacts

LIUBLC encourages faculty to propose and develop their own themes, which have included ecology, health and social justice, social media, information literacy, global cultures, exploring the city, and civil rights. While we are excited by the energy and creativity of the faculty proposals, we struggle to achieve a balance between assuring intellectual freedom on the part of professors and providing students with clear, inviting thematic options that do not overwhelm them with too many choices. Here we feature syllabi, assignments, and student artifacts from three learning communities: Pathways to Freedom, Global Visions, and Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr.
